Apparently, this is an actual error message in the FTP-program Transmit for Mac OSX.
Now this one might be a bit harsh, but I'm sure life would be a bit more relaxed for people working with computers if programmers tried to communicate a bit more normally with them. Like this downtime message from Flickr:
I know it's old news, but I think it's important to just think about it for one minute. It probably doesn't cost them any more time to come up with stuff like this and it tells users so much about the way the people behind Flickr think (and the kinnd of fun they have working on their application). It's just very consistent branding.
You'd probably still be annoyed because you can't get at the pictures, but if it's the first time you see this it will be hard not to smile either. So why don't other programs, applications,... don't try to come up with something better than error -212FF yadayadayada?
